Sex and the Psychic With: Review

(The Triplet Witch Trilogy, Book 1)
by Annette Blair

Synopsis:

Introducing the Cartwright sisters-Harmony, Destiny and Storm-triplets and unstoppable seductresses.

Harmony, the buyer for her sisters' vintage curio shop, can read objects and learn of their former owners. Now, a Celtic ring leads her to a castle on the coast of Massachusetts. King Paxton's money-pit is cursed, and he hopes that this leggy blonde can help him find peace with an angry ghost, a disgruntled renovation crew-and his own heart.

My Review:

I love, love, love Annette Blair lately. This is the 4th book I have read from her and I engulfed it. I love how her leading characters ( women) are all strong and confindent ladies. Something every women should be or strive to be.
This book has just the right amount of paranormal story line, with a hot headed romance as well. There are two more in this series and I am going to pick them up from the library today... so I am sure in the next few days you will be seeing my review on both of them.
Do yourself a favor and pick up this book!!

Sex and the Psychic Witch gets 5 stars from me and falls into these reading challenges...
Until next time...

A Touck of Silk: Review

by Lori Wilde

Manhattan reporter Kay Freemont spends her days writing about sex and her nights wondering what all the hype is about. So when sexy, single Quinn Scofield places an advertisement in her magazine for a wife, Kay decides it's way past time she found out!

Although Kay knows she's too repressed to live out her most forbidden fantasies, under Quinn's imaginative tutelage she becomes more in tune with her own sensuality. This city girl thinks she has time for only a red-hot fling unless Quinn has his way, and she accepts his offer of a lifetime of incredible sex!

I love reading these books because they are good fillers, fast reads! I figured there was no reason for me not to be done with the Harlequin reading challenge, so I decided to hope on this one.

I enjoyed this book, it was lusty without being over the top corny, and let me tell you there is a fine line between the two! HA HA HA!

I will give this book 4 stars.

This book falls into these reading challenges...

If You Desire: Review

If you Desire by Kresley Cole, is the second book in the series; MacArrick Brothers.
He tried to run...

" In his youth, Huge MacCarrick foolishly fell in love with a beautiful English lass who delighted in teasing him with her flirtatious ways. Yet he knew he could never marry her because he was shadowed by an accursed family legacy. To avoid temptation, Hugh left home, ultimately becoming an assassin".

She tried to forget him....

" Jane Weyland was devastated when the Highlander she believed would marry her abandoned her instead. Years later, when Hugh MacCarrick is summoned to protect her from her father's enemies, her heartache has turned to fury- but her desire for him has not waned."

Will passion overwhelm them?

In hiding, Jane torments Hugh with seductive play. He struggles to resist her because of deadly secrets that could endanger her furhter. But Hugh is no longer a gentle young man- and toying with the fever-pitched desires of a hardened warrior will either get Jane burned... or enflame a love that never died."

Kresley Cole did it again. Another book that I couldn't put down and finished in less than 2 days! Another steamy read, that makes even the reader long for a Scot to come protect her, or torment her with his ways, ha ha ha!

The one down fall to this series so far is the use of a phase I can't stand, so it really is just a flaw on my part. The GD phase is used a lot ( God .... fill in the blank). I don't use this phase, I cringe when others use it, and even when I see it in a book, I have come to the part when I automatically just read " Gosh Darnit". I am fiece, huh?

Time to rate this book.... 5 stars!! Wit woo, for someone who doesn't give them easily, this book slut just gave two in one week!

If You Dare: Review

If you Dare by Kresley Cole, is the first book in the series; MacArrick Brothers.
Can he exact revenge?

" High in the Pyrenees, a band of mercenaries lef by Courtland MacCarrick wages war for General Reynaldo Pascal. When Court turns on the evil general, Pascal orders him killed but Court narrowly escapes and exacts revenge by kidnapping Pascal's exquisite Castilian financee".

Can she deny her passions?

" Lady Annalia Tristan Llorente despises her towering, barbaric captor almost as she does Pascal. Her inexplicable attraction to the Highlander only fuels her fury. But nothing will stop her from returning to Pascal- for if she doesn't wed him, she signs her borhter's death warrant, as well as her own."

I read this book so FAST and it has 349 pages, but it is done in just about 2 days, so that should lead you to my feelings on this book! Loved it!! It had it all... it was witty, love, steamy romance, fighting... what more does one need in a book. I will stay that this book does give some details ( if you know what I mean, nudge...nudge... wink...wink) when you are reading the romance scenes. I loved them!! HA HA HA!
I also have said in the past that I do not give just any book a 5 star, but this book is getting 5 stars from this crazy book slut!

This book falls into these reading challenges of mine, take a look at my progress and or sign up to join in on the fun!

Men of Thorne Island: Review

Men of Thorne Island by Cynthia Thomason

This is my second
book I have read for the Harlequin Romance Challenge.

"When Sara Crawford arrives on Thorne Island, she discovers that her inheritance is nothing like the
photo in the glossy brochures the lawyer presented. For a start, the dock's about to collapse into the lake. And The Cozy Cove Inn, so charmingly depicted in the pamphlet, is in desperate need of a paintbrush and a vacuum.

" Another detail- not mentioned in the advertising or in her aunt's will- is the fact that the island has four long term inhabitants, each with an unbreakable lease. Three intensely private, cantankerous recluses who want no part of Sara's improvement plans. And one cynical, sexy man with a secret who is opposed to change.

" But Sara's never backed away from a challenge. And Nick Bass is the most attractive challenge she's met in a long time!"

I enjoyed this book for many reasons... 1). Sara Crawford and Nick Bass remind me of my hubby and I. They had such great chemistry and loved picking on one another, what more does a relationship need? 2). Sara was just an everyday gal, no glamous job, just a simple girl, and sometimes these books go over the top in their female character descriptions, I mean we all can't be blondes with big boobs!
HA HA HA

I do wish that there was more details about the Island, I just felt that if a few more pages were added to the story, I could have seen the Island more, actually put myself in the story/Island.

I give this book a solid 4 stars on my rating system!
Until next time...
Happy Reading!
