Make Mine Midnight: Review

Make Mine Midnight
[Kindle Edition]
by: Annmarie McKenna
New Year’s resolutions have never looked so good.

New Year’s Eve. The party is rockin’, and Claire is in her usual spot holding up the wall. It’s all right. She’s much happier scribbling in her trusty little notebook than mingling. Especially since those notes turn into the sexy erotic romances she pens in secret. Those two gorgeous gods across the room are perfect hero material and…oh dear, are they headed her way?

Mason and Hunter know she won’t remember them as the scrawny geeks they were in high school. She also doesn’t know they’ve been lusting after her for ten long years, waiting for her to meet a man and have a normal relationship. They’re through waiting. The time has come to make their move—and show her exactly how much they’ve changed.

One night in the middle of a Mason/Hunter manwich, and Claire has enough research material to fill a hundred notebooks. Good thing she’s got OfficeMax on speed dial to order more. Except suddenly her two hunks have this crazy idea that keeping her is selfish. Selfish? She may be mousy, but this mouse is about to roar…

Warning: Threesomes! Light bondage, blindfolds, breakfast made by two hot men who used to be geeks. Parades, cotton candy, more sex, and convincing said men they are WRONG and threesomes are RIGHT.

My Review: Bring your imagination with you when you read this book. It will entertain you but it is far from believable. It was a fast read and the sex scenes were HOT, so those two things make for one happy reader!

My Rating: 3 stars

Extreme Exposure: Review

Sparks fly when a hardboiled reporter meets a handsome senator. But a political scandal-and attempts on her life-could drive them apart. Or maybe adversity could draw them into a bond even more intense than their steamy sexual embraces.

Talk about a relationship starting out rough.. wowzer! You name it and Kara and Reece face it in this relationship! Extreme Exposure had a nice plot filled with lust, mystery, suspense and more!

Sweet Release: Review

by Pamela Clare

Though Cassie hated the slave trade, her Virginia plantation demanded the labor, so for five pounds in cash, the convict was hers. Little did she know that Cole Braden had been beaten, abducted and sent to the American colonies as an indentured servant. He must prove his true identity to win his freedom and earn her love.

I am blown away that this was Pamela Clare's first book. Wonderful! She not only captured the era but the way she wrote these two characters... devine! I love seeing books where the main female character is strong willed, follows her own beliefs, and more importantly her heart! Alec ( Cole) and Cassie have you cheering from them in all aspects of the story. Move over Bella and Edward, Romeo and Juliet... here comes Alec and Cassie! A true love story!

Enchanted: review

Erotic Bedtime Stories For Women

If you are under 18 please skip this review and come back for the next one.

" Allow yourself to be drawn into a fantasy world like no other . . . where a beautiful princess is seduced into a love triangle with a handsome prince and her winsome maid . . . where a mysterious gentleman's young bride is deliciously disciplined for her unchecked curiosity . . . where a naive daughter is married off to a beast of a man whose carnal appetites awaken her budding desire . . .

"With a unique and decidedly adult twist on thirteen classic fairy tales, Nancy Madore intrigues and arouses with her titillating, sizzling anthology of erotic stories guaranteed to keep you up late into the night.

"You'll never look at fairy tales the same way again. "

This book was alright, but with each new page I was looking and wanting more. I see the words Erotic written write there on the cover of this book, but it was anything but. It was safe in the department of erotic stories, and who wants safe in this area, blah! I had higher hopes for this book, and it fell short.

What Happens In Vegas: Review

(Hot for You/Stripped/Red-Handed/The Deal)
by:
Jodi Lynn Copeland,
Kit Tunstall,
Anya Bast,
Lauren Dane

If you are under 18 please do not read this review
Synopsis:

Behind closed doors, the real games begin...

Winning it big. That's the name of the game at Las Vegas's Liege Hotel and Casino, where the hottest fantasies hinge on a roll of the dice...and the tantalizing knowledge that anything could happen before sunrise.

Cocktail waitress Carinna wants a man to tie her up, not tie her down. Little does she know that her most willing partner yet has something else planned for this fiery Latina bombshell.

Dahlia is a burlesque dancer with a brain for business and a bod for sin. Her latest admirer may be a sweet-talking Casanova, but despite what he thinks she's not giving anything away free.

Meanwhile, Amy has the perfect plan to rob the Liege Casino blind...until the intimidating owner catches her red-handed. Now she knows she's going to pay... with both pleasure and pain.

Professional shill Cassidy is ready to experience a breathless rendezvous with her "friend with benefits." But when he proposes five delicious nights of sexy blackjack, the stakes have never been so high.

I loved that this book had 4 short stories in it. Always makes for a fast read. All of these stories were steamy and man they didn't waste anytime! I enjoyed how all the characters from each story were from totally different walks of life but Vegas ties them all together! This book brings a whole new meaning to what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!

Broken: Review

by Megan Hart

If you are under 18 years old, please do not continue to read this review.

My name is different every month—Brandy, Honey, Amy…sometimes Joe doesn't even bother to ask—but he never fails to arouse me with his body, his mouth, his touch, no matter what I'm called or where he picks me up. The sex is always amazing, always leaves me itching for more in those long weeks until I see him again.

My real name is Sadie, and once a month over lunch Joe tells me about his latest conquest. But what Joe doesn't know is that, in my mind, I'm the star of every X-rated one-night stand he has revealed to me, or that I'm practically obsessed with our imaginary sex life. I know it's wrong. I know my husband wouldn't understand. But I can't stop. Not yet.

This book was hot when it was needed, but I just had a hard time feeling anything for these characters. It was'nt the sex scene's that bothered me, it was the story line in between, especially between Sadie and her husband, Adam. Guess I just have a fine line, and I would hate to give away the story so I will leave it at that... fine line that I felt was crossed.

Beauty's Release: Review

(Sleeping Beauty Series #3)
by A. N. Roquelaure, Anne Rice

Synopsis:

In the final volume of Anne Rice's deliciously tantalizing erotic trilogy, Beauty's adventures on the dark side of sexuality make her the bound captive of an Eastern Sultan and a prisoner in the exotic confines of his harem. As this voluptuous adult fairy tale moves toward conclusion, all of Beauty's encounters with the myriad variations of sexual fantasy are presented in a sensuous, rich prose that intensifies this exquisite rendition of Love's secret world and makes the Beauty series an incomparable study of erotica. In it, Anne Rice makes the forbidden side of passion a doorway into the hidden regions of the psyche and the heart.

Beauty's Release has more twists and turns than the previous two books by far. Like the other two one really needs to have an open mind when reading this book, because it is differently erotic.

Out of the 3 books in this series, I would have to say this one was the best. I am giving Beauty's Release 4 stars.

Beauty's Punishment : Review

(Sleeping Beauty Series #2)
By Anne Rice

An erotic novel of discipline, love, and surrender for the enjoyment of men and women.
This sequel to The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, the first of Anne Rice's elegantly written volumes of erotica, continues her explicit, teasing exploration of the psychology of human desire. Now Beauty, having indulged in a secret and forbidden infatuation with the rebellious slave Prince Tristan, is sent away from the Satyricon-like world of the Castle. Sold at auction, she will soon experience the tantalizing punishments of "the village," as her education in love, cruelty, dominance, submission, and tenderness is turned over to the brazenly handsome Captain of the Guard. And once again Rice's fabulous tale of pleasure and pain dares to explore the most primal and well-hidden desires of the human heart.

another solid 4 stars for this series!

The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty: Review

by A. N. Roquelaure
( Anne Rice)

In the traditional folktale of 'Sleeping Beauty,' the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind's unconscious. Now Anne Rice's retelling of the Beauty story probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince reawakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty's complete and total enslavement to him…as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience.

I enjoyed this book, but will put out that it is not for everyone, because it is pretty compelling in details.

I am giving this book 4 stars

Only Pleasure: review

Only Pleasure by Lora Leigh

Chase Falladay returns to initiate Kia Stanton into the Club, where ménage à trois is the rule, in Leigh's sensual newest book. When Kia's husband, Drew, and his friend attempt to rape her, Kia discovers that Drew is part of the secret swingers club whose members are many of Washington's elite. Chase persuades Kia to say publicly that the Club does not exist, in exchange for protecting her from Drew. Kia agrees to stay silent, but withdraws from her usual social life for two years until she meets Chase at a party and leaves with him and his third, Khalid, knowing she is agreeing to a club ritual: a steamy threesome. While the immediate goal is uninhibited pleasure, Chase and Kia find themselves falling in love. Unfortunately, there is a jealous psychopath determined to hurt Chase, and killing Kia seems the best way to do it. Kia is a superior heroine: strong, sexy and vulnerable. The stalker's identity comes as a surprise that will doubtless please long-term fans of the series. New readers will take a little while to understand the nuances of Club rules and may find the explicit kink a titillating surprise in a usually demure genre.

If you are are not comfortable with sexual context this book is NOT for you. Besides some over the top words, that even I don't use ( and that is saying a lot) I thought the book was good. HA HA HA! See even I have my breaking point, unless I have had a few too many drinks, than it is game on!

I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars.

This book falls into these reading challenges, take a peak and see how I am coming along in them... I am like the little engine that could... I think I can, I think I can...Choo Choo!
