My Review: Oh man did this book drag on way to much the first few chapters. If I believed in giving up on a book earlier than I do this book would have never been finished. With that said I am so glad I kept at it because it turned into being a fantastic story that gave you steamy love scenes and an endearing relationship between Tucker and Sally Mae. You even got some action ( not the bedroom kind) in this book. Tucker's Claim really does have it all. So promise me, if ( when!) you pick this book up to read, stick with it and just push through the first few chapters, you won't be sorry!

My Review: I haven't read a book this long in awhile, lately the books I have read have been 300 pages ( give or take). There is a feeling I get when I hold a book that is over 400 pages.. it makes me content and happy to dive into the depths of the story.

Sam is a moody and dark man, but it worked for him and Bella had the sass to call him on it time and time again. When these two went back in forth with each other, it made me grin and was my favorite times in the book. Other than there back and forth quirks this book just stayed in neutral for me. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the book, it just means I didn't love it.

I will tell you this, Sarah McCarty has me intrigued by the rough and mysterious men of Hell's Eight. You just don't find men made that way anymore and if you do they think to highly of themselves, ha!

Sam's Creed made me what to continue on in the Hell's Eight series. Maybe Tucker's story will get me to give it a 4 star ( or 5, seems it has been awhile since I gave a 5).

They establish an uneasy bond, but it isn't enough for Caine. He wants all Desi has to offer. He wants her screams, her moans, her demands...everything. Yet there's still a bounty on Desi's head, and keeping her sexually satisfied is proving easier than keeping her alive.

My Review: I've been sitting on the first two books of this series for a long time and just now decided to start it when the newest book in the series was offered to me for a review. No time like now to finally start it. I am not sure if I have ever mentioned this before but one of my favorite things about reading/reviewing/blogging is finding a new series to sink into. Finding a new series ( especially one that already has so many books in it already) means I will have many books to read in the future ( not that I am ever lacking in this department). Finding a new series I love is like finding the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

With that said I liked Caine's Reckoning. I don't love it but I liked it enough that I can't wait to finish this review so I can crack open the next installment. 

Going into this book I had read other's thoughts on it and they fell both ways. Some raved about it giving it a solid 5 stars, other's couldn't get past some of the terms used in the book. I went in open minded knowing that it took place in a whole different wold ( 1858). Of course men talked to women differently back then, so I was able to take it with a grain of salt.

Sarah McCarty did a good job telling Caine and Desi's story while still giving enough depth to her future characters. 

I think the Hell's Eight series has a solid foundation needed to make it a wonderful series..... the next book will be more telling for me.
