Come a Little Bit Closer by Bella Andre {Review}

Come a Little Bit Closer
{ Sullivan Series #7}
by Bella Andre

Kindle Edition
Published November 27th 2012 by Oak Press, LLC

Movie star Smith Sullivan can’t afford any distractions. He’s staking his entire reputation on his new film...but he can’t stop thinking about Valentina Landon and the fire he sees smoldering just beneath the surface of her cool exterior.

Valentina isn’t averse to sensual pleasure, or even to the idea of finding true love, but as a Hollywood business manager she’s watched too many smart women fall for actors...only to be torn apart when the fairytale comes to its inevitable end.

But when intense weeks together on set turn their heated attraction into red-hot flames of passion, Smith knows he has to find a way to convince Valentina to let him get a little bit closer. Close enough to completely steal her heart...the way she’s stolen his from the start.

First Line: Smith Sullivan loved his fans.

Favorite Line(s): For the first time in his entire life, he was so overcome with love he simply couldn't get any other part of his body to work, save his heart, which beat only for her.

My Review: I've been waiting for Smith's story for what feels like forever and a day and now that I have read it.... WORTH THE WAIT!

The Sullivan series gives you everything you are looking for in a romance novel. Sweet, caring, loyal characters ( I can't think of a more loyal family in any other books than the Sullivan clan). We get the sexy love scenes without being to over the top in the raunchy department. Bella Andre knows her romance and she leaves her readers waiting not so patiently for her next book to be released.

You would think after 7 books in a series the story line would start to become predictable or lacking, and that is just not the case when it comes to Come a Little Bit Closer. I was just as much into this book as I was the first  in the series. Like don't bug me, eat a bowl of cereal, I am not getting up from this chair until I am done reading this book... hooked!

If you have not started reading this series, you must! Trust me when I say you will not be sorry... oh wait, you will be! You will be sorry it took you so long to start the series.

Let Me Be The One by Bella Andre {Review}

{ The Sullivan's #6}
Kindle Edition
Published August 28th 2012 by Oak Press

When Vicki Bennett saved Ryan Sullivan’s life as a teenager, it was the beginning of a close friendship that never wavered despite her failed marriage to someone else and Ryan’s well-earned reputation as a ladies man. So when she suddenly needs a pretend boyfriend to protect herself and her career from a powerful man’s advances, he is the only person she can imagine asking.

Ryan will do anything to protect Vicki from harm, but when their “fake” kisses and caresses lead to an incredibly sensual night that neither of them can resist, will he have made the biggest mistake of all by irreparably jeopardizing their friendship? Or is it possible that what they’ve both been looking for has been right there the whole time…and the perfect combination of wicked and sweet, friendship and love, is finally within reach?

First Line(s): Victoria Bennett couldn't take her eyes off Ryan Sullivan, who was laughing with some of the guys on his baseball team as she headed through the high school parking lot toward the art store on University Avenue.

Favorite Quote(s): “Kindness is incredibly sexy.”

My Review: Let Me Be The One was/is a sweet. endearing and extremely fast read! Ryan and Vicki have a story people dream about without being totally cheesy or over the top.

Ryan is a dreamboat. He knew what to say and came across as smooth and real! Sometimes when a guy tries to hard he comes across as a douche, not the case with Ryan.

I also loved how vulnerable Bella allowed herself to become and the road Bella Andre took us on to see Vicki get there was fun!

The Sullivan series has it all.... sexy, fun witty all based around a strong and tight family.

Kudos to Bella Andre

I can't wait for book #7, Come a Little Bit Closer.
We finally get Smith's story... yay!!

If You Were Mine by Bella Andre {Review{

{ The Sullivan's Series #5}
by Bella Andre

Paperback194 pages
Published May 24th 2012 by Oak Press LLC (first published May 22nd 2012)

The last thing Zach Sullivan wants is to take care of his brother's new puppy for two weeks. Until he meets the dog trainer, that is. Heather is bright, beautiful, and he can't stop thinking about her. Unfortunately, she just might be the only woman on earth who wants nothing to do with him.

Heather Linsey can't believe she's stuck working with one of the city’s top dogs, auto-shop mogul Zach Sullivan. Especially when his focus is clear from the start—not only to learn how to deal with his temporary puppy...but also to make her his. Having sworn off love at seventeen when she realized it was nothing more than a pack of lies, Heather has stuck to her vow never to fall for a charming man. The last thing she expects is for Zach to be the one to tempt her into believing again.

But as Heather's determination to push Zach away only fuels his determination to get closer—and the sensual and emotional connection between them grows more and more undeniable—can two people who've both sworn off love find forever in each other's arms?

First Line: Zach Sullivan stared with disgust at the bundle of fur chewing on his shoelace.

My Review: I think the Sullivan boys are on my top 5 of favorite men in series. With each passing book in The Sullivan series I fall even harder for the newest leading man, in this case Zach.

Bella Andre left nothing out in this story. Adorable animals, a strong family and a solid duo who share an amazing chemistry. All of these things together make If You Were Mine a must read!

I can NOT wait to read the next installment, Let Me Be The One.

Get ready for another Sullivan to fall in love in Bella Andre's bestselling contemporary romance series!

Sophie Sullivan, a librarian in San Francisco, was five years old when she fell head over heels in love with Jake McCann. Twenty years later, she's convinced the notorious bad boy still sees her as the "nice" Sullivan twin. That is, when he bothers to look at her at all. But when they both get caught up in the magic of the first Sullivan wedding, she knows it's long past time to do whatever it takes to make him see her for who she truly is...the woman who will love him forever.

Jake has always been a magnet for women, especially since his Irish pubs made him extremely wealthy. But the only woman he really wants is the one he can never have. Not only is Sophie his best friend's off-limits younger sister...he can't risk letting her get close enough to discover his deeply hidden secret.

Only, when Sophie appears on his doorstep as Jake's every fantasy come to life-smart, beautiful, and shockingly sexy-he doesn't have a prayer of taking his eyes, or his hands, off her. And he can't stop craving more of her sweet smiles and sinful kisses. Because even though Jake knows loving Sophie isn't the right thing to do...how can he possibly resist?

First Line(s): Sophie Sullivan surveyed the final wedding preparations with satisfaction.

My Review:  I loved this book pretty much from the beginning. I couldn't wait to hear Sophie's story. The pull Sophie and Jake share and have shared for the better part of their lives is what great stories are made of. This book had the two of them sharing in each other's highs and lows. I felt like I became their own little cheerleader for their relationship. Rah- Rah- Rah!

Bella Andre has hit it big with The Sullivan series. I look forward to reading If You Were Mine in the upcoming weeks.

My Rating: Photobucket
How long have I gone without giving a book a 5... I was starting to think I would never find a 5 star book again ( okay maybe not that dramatic).

Until next time... Happy Reading!

Gabe Sullivan risks his life every day as a firefighter in San Francisco. But after learning a brutal lesson about professional boundaries, he knows better than to risk his heart to his fire victims ever again. Especially the brave mother and daughter he saved from a deadly apartment fire...and can't stop thinking about.

Megan Harris knows she owes the heroic firefighter everything for running into a burning building to save her and her seven-year-old daughter. Everything except her heart. Because after losing her navy pilot husband five years ago, she has vowed to never suffer through loving - and losing - a man with a dangerous job again.

Only, when Gabe and Megan meet again and uncontrollable flames of desire ignite between them, how can he possibly ignore her courage, determination, and beauty? And how can she deny not only his strong bond with her daughter.but the way his sweetly sensual kisses are challenging her to risk everything she's been guarding for so long?

This winter, if one - or both - of them aren't careful, they just might end up falling in love.
First Line(s):  Gabe Sullivan was helping an elderly couple down the stairs of an old San Francisco apartment building and out onto the sidewalk when the air was rocked with an explosion of flames and smoke out a second-story window.

My Review: Bella Andre is a sure thing! Her stories are honest and real... very believable!

I said it once and I will say it again.... the Sullivan clan is amazing, caring and well let's face it HOT people!
I love reading books where the main character(s) are firefighters, who doesn't love a firefighter!!!????

Can't Help Falling in Love is a smooth quick read, once you pick it up you will have it finished it a few hours.

From This Moment On by Bella Andre {Review}

From This Moment On

(The Sullivans #2)

Kindle Edition
Published August 30th 2011

With FROM THIS MOMENT ON, bestselling author Bella Andre introduces you to Marcus, the second Sullivan bad boy, whose life will never be the same from the moment he meets Nicola….

For thirty-six years, Marcus Sullivan has been the responsible older brother, stepping in to take care of his seven siblings after their father died when they were children. But when the perfectly ordered future he's planned for himself turns out to be nothing but a lie, Marcus needs one reckless night to shake free from it all.

Nicola Harding is known throughout the world by only one name - Nico - for her catchy, sensual pop songs. Only, what no one knows about the twenty-five year old singer is that her sex-kitten image is totally false. After a terrible betrayal by a man who loved fame far more than he ever loved her, she vows not to let anyone else get close enough to find out who she really is...or hurt her again. Especially not the gorgeous stranger she meets at a nightclub, even though the hunger - and the sinful promises - in his dark eyes make her want to spill all her secrets.

One night is all Nicola and Marcus agree to share with each other. But nothing goes as they plan when instead of simply tangling limbs, they find a deeper connection than either of them could have anticipated. And even though they both try to fight it, growing emotions - and sizzling attraction - keep drawing them closer together.

Close enough for them to wonder if stealing one more secret moment together can ever be enough?
First Line(s): Marcus Sullivan was a man on a mission.

Favorite Line(s): “I've hoped for this for so many years, waited for someone to come along whom you could finally love more than your family, someone who would turn you inside-out and toss you off your path,' His mother looked positively gleeful in the face of his misery. 'Someone just like Nicola for you to blow it with.”

My Review: I loved that Marcus was down earth enough to say he was willing to give it a go with a famous singer and mean it! I think down right heroes are hard to come by in romance novels. Seems the "norm" is to have them have a sense of entitlement or to be cocky. I didn't feel any of this with Marcus. He comes off as a caring and loyal person.

I enjoyed seeing Nicola battle with who she was betrayed to be in the public eye and who she wanted to be, who she was on the inside. This battle made her real and vulnerable which made it really easy to connect with her.

I thought the heat was there but it wasn't going to make you need a shower. More than heat it had romance.

Bella Andre wrote another solid book in The Sullivan series and with so many Sullivan siblings this series could have a very good run.

The Look of Love by Bella Andre {Review}

The Look of Love

(The Sullivans #1)

Kindle Edition, 201 pages
Published June 13th 2011

 With THE LOOK OF LOVE, bestselling author Bella Andre introduces you the Sullivan family. In this fun and emotional contemporary romance series, when a Sullivan bad boy falls...he falls hard. And it's forever.

Chloe Peterson is having a bad night. A really bad night. The large bruise on her cheek can attest to that. And when her car skids off the side of a wet country road straight into a ditch, she’s convinced even the gorgeous guy who rescues her in the middle of the rain storm must be too good to be true. Or is he?

As a successful photographer who frequently travels around the world, Chase Sullivan has his pick of beautiful women, and whenever he’s home in San Francisco, one of his seven siblings is usually up for causing a little fun trouble. Chase thinks his life is great just as it is—until the night he finds Chloe and her totaled car on the side of the road in Napa Valley. Not only has he never met anyone so lovely, both inside and out, but he quickly realizes she has much bigger problems than her damaged car. Soon, he is willing to move mountains to love—and protect—her, but will she let him?

Chloe vows never to make the mistake of trusting a man again. Only, with every loving look Chase gives her—and every sinfully sweet caress—as the attraction between them sparks and sizzles, she can’t help but wonder if she’s met the only exception. And although Chase didn’t realize his life was going to change forever in an instant, amazingly, he isn’t the least bit interested in fighting that change. Instead, he’s gearing up for a different fight altogether…for Chloe’s heart.
First Line(s): It was good to get out on the open road.

My Review: The Look of Love is a good solid start to the Sullivan Series, a series that tells the story of 8 siblings.
I adored reading about Chase ( main male character) and how he was a true gentleman. Mama Sullivan raised him well. Chase is sweet, protective and head over heels for Chloe from the moment he pulls to the side of the road to help her.
Chloe took a little longer to warm to Chase and her whole lot in life but it made for a good read. They worked well together without making the relationship too easy ( and all together predictable).
You find yourself cheering Chase on from the first few lines and wondering where you can find your own Chase for yourself.
If Chase is setting the bar for the other Sullivan siblings I think we are in for a real treat. Great job Bella Andre, your wrote yourself a shining star!
