It Happened One Autumn by Lisa Kleypas {Review}

It Happened One Autumn
{ Wallflowers Series #2}
by Lisa Kleypas

Four young ladies enter London society with one necessary goal: they must use their feminine wit and wiles to find a husband. So they band together, and a daring husband-hunting scheme is born.

It happened at the ball...

Where beautiful but bold Lillian Bowman quickly learned that her independent American ways weren't entirely "the thing." And the most disapproving of all was insufferable, snobbish, and impossible Marcus, Lord Westcliff, London's most eligible aristocrat.

It happened in the garden...

When Marcus shockingly—and dangerously—swept her into his arms. Lillian was overcome with a consuming passion for a man she didn't even like. Time stood still; it was as if no one else existed...thank goodness they weren't caught very nearly in the act!

It happened one autumn...

Marcus was a man in charge of his own emotions, a bedrock of stability. But with Lillian, every touch was exquisite torture, every kiss an enticement for more. Yet how could he consider taking a woman so blatantly unsuitable...as his bride?

First Line: Two young women stood at the threshold of the perfumery, one tugging impatiently at the arm of the other.

Favorite Line: "Dear," Daisy said softly, " the next time you face a room full of strangers... You might tell yourself that some of them are just friends waiting to be found."

My Review: Another enjoyable read from Lisa Kleypas in her Wallflower series! Marcus and Lillian were a perfect fit for one another. It Happened One Autumn had plenty of sexy scenes with equal parts humor ( perfection)! This book was a fast read which is always a plus for this reader, I need you to grab hold of me right from the start and make me unable to put book door ( otherwise I will put book down and life will cause me to foget all about it).
It Happened One Autumn makes me very excited to pick up Devil in Winter.

If you haven't read the Wallflower series, wait no longer.... they are delicious!
