Q.If you could have characters from a particular book meet and form an epic storyline with characters from a particular TV series, which would you choose and why?
A: I would pick the cast of the tv show Friends to meet up with the characters out of the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. For no other reason than they are total opposites and Paula Abdul says Opposites Attract!

This week's question:

“What is your favorite spooky book (i.e. mystery/suspense, thriller, ghost story, etc.)?”
Answer: This is where I admit to being a big chicken and tell you all I don't read or watch spooky! But for mystery/suspense I can say I really enjoyed was the I-Team series by Pamela Clare. Those were good on the supsense chart.

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines and Kelly at Secrets of a Book Lover. This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make new friends!
{please visit one or both blogs to get the rules}

Question of the Week: What kind of book covers are you drawn to? (i.e. Full body, guy, chic, half naked, headless man, couple, place, ect.) And what kind of covers turn you off a book?

Answer: I normally don't mind if it is full body or headless but I do tend to like a person on the cover. Ideally a half naked man on the cover... heck I can make a list of men that should just remain half naked in the real world. HA!
The only thing I don't like on a cover is when the person on the cover is so off from the description in the book. I know it shouldn't but it throws me off for the majority of the book.

Until next time...Happy Reading!

Hey,
First, you're hilarious. Second, I love your blog name (wish I was gutsy enough to use something like that). Third, you are freaking hilarious! I loved that you used a Paula Abdul reference lol!

It irritates me when the person on the cover of a book doesn't match up with the character in the story. It is just a bit of a shame really.
Yay for half-naked men! ;P

I agree about the character not matching the book cover. I know that the author gets to provide SOME feedback, but I guess the designers have the final say. I think it's better if there's no face. At least THAT way, we can use our imaginations.

Horror fiction isn't for everybody. Maybe you should try a less-intense level of horror fiction. I suggest Harvest Home by Thomas Tryon which is chilling but not overly graphic.

You definitely wouldn't want to read either of the two books I picked this week. Feel free to hop on back to my blog at http://www.howardsherman.net and find out what they are.

Oh, good call on the cover art not matching the book - I hate it when I can't find that hottie inside. Personally, I like my covers a little dangerous and daring, with a bit of fetish costuming. :)

I totally agree with everything you wrote. Not to bash on Authors, but many do put a fugly looking guy on the covers and in the book, they don't meet that description, the character in the books are always yummier =)

Thanks for sharing!

It gets on my nerves when the guy doesn't look anything like the character in the book too. I have read a couple books like that and it annoyed the crap out of me. Lol

It drives me crazy when the model on the cover is no where near what the character is suppose to look like! I have to cover it so I don't keep peeking and comparing. lol
Thanks for joining the 18+ follow!
