Dear Readers: 2x the fun at Crazy Book Slut

We have a new writer here at Crazy Book Slut.
I would like you all to meet Allison...

Below you will find 10 questions to help you all get to know Allison a bit more ( I on the other hand have known her since the 10th grade so I get to have all the juicy details stored in memory). HA HA HA!

1. Name your alter ego?
I kept coming back to this question, because at first I was trying to be serious. Finally I said, “heck with this,” and am throwing caution with the wind and making this fun. Since this is a book blog I am choosing two character I wish would be my alter ego. I would love to mesh their personalities together to make one. With that said my alter ego would be a mix between Hermione Granger and Rebecca Bloomwood. I want the easy intelligence and magic that is Hermione. How can you not choose someone who can “swish and flick” like the best of them? I also would love the carefree, shopaholic, can get herself in and out of any messy situation like Rebecca Bloomwood. Some would find her ditzy, but I find her very lucky and resourceful. I would definitely love a little genius with a side luck in my life.

2. What genre of book do you tend to read most? Why?
I have a genre du jour mentality. If I think I will like it I will read it. Lately I find myself reading British Chick Lit. Whenever I go light and airy you know I have just read a very deep and emotional book.

3. What genre of book do you tend to stay clear of? Why?
I usually stay away from Science Fiction. I am just not a science fiction reading type of gal.

4. What book are you reading right now?
Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella (Light and airy)

5. What is the last book you read?
Not My Daughter by Barbra Delinsky (Deep and emotional… especially when you are a mom to 2 girls)

6. The question we all hate to answer, but I am asking it anyways... Who is your favorite author(s)?
I would have to say Kate Chopin. She wasn’t one to go by the rules of society and for that I love her! Edna Pontellier is one of my most favorite characters of all time.

7. Favorite book(s)?
The Awakening by Kate Chopin, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Harry Potter 1-7 by J.K Rowling, and many, many more.

8. Favorite couple in a book? ( any relationship type works, friendship, family, lovers)
Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are my favorite couple. They, to me, are the epitome of opposites attract. I am impartial since that would describe me and my hubs.

9. Books to movies, thoughts? Books are better or worse? Do you prefer to read the book before seeing the movie? Examples?

I have never seen a movie where it beats the book. It’s actually kind of moot, since the movie must be a condensed version of the book itself. For that reason I must ALWAYS read the book before the movie. I have done it backwards a couple times. I swear it wasn’t my fault, since I didn’t know the movie was first a book.

10. What book has been on your to be read list the longest?

What is keeping you from reading it?
Emma by Jane AustenAnything rich with language like anything by Jane Austen takes time and your undivided attention to really appreciate it. This will probably be the first book I read when my 2 year old is in school full time.

Welcome Allison to Crazy Book Slut!! I know our readers will love you as much as I do!!
