Dear Readers #9: Book Trailers

Dear Readers,

Today I would like to know how you feel about book tailers? You know the little 1 minute movie ( give or take) about the book.

Love them? Hate them?

Do they help you decide whether you want to read the book or not? Do you feel they spoil the book?

How do you feel when you see them posted along side a review on a blog?

Spill it my dear readers, give me the 411 of book trailers!

Have you entered Crazy Book Slut's ultimate book giveaway? Huge list of books to choose from and we will have 3 winners. Get your entries in today and good luck!!

XOXO
Until next time...
Happy Reading!

I have to say that I love them, they DO NOT sway my vote to buy the book, but they are more of a guilty pleasure!

I like seeing how the author/publisher pictured characters or tone, especially after I have read the book already. I don't think the trailer influences me to buy the book, but I have seen my teen perk up about a title after watching some, so they are definitely effective, probably more so with the YA crowd that has grown up on multimedia approaches to everything.

I agree. I'm not going to pick up a book because of an awesome trailer, but I enjoy them. They're just fun!

I love book trailers! When I find them by someone's review I watch them and I have posted them with reviews of mine. I have never bought a book just because of a trailer, but they have made me look up the book to find out more about it.

I like watching them, as am curious to see how an author envisions their characters. It's never made me buy a book, but I think they're fun. Can be annoying though with all the buffering.
