Up in Smoke: Review

by Katie MacAlister

Synopsis:
Though May Northcott's heart belongs to Gabriel, leader of the silver dragons, being stuck in Abaddon has significantly cooled down her love life. Especially since a demon lord is trying to woo her. Looks like May will have to barter to gain her freedom and fulfill her destiny by Gabriel's side...

Okay, this will officially be my last attempt at this series. Maybe I am not jiving with these characters because I didn't read the other series first. For the life of me I can't seem to connect to May or even Gabriel for that matter. I just don't get what I am missing because of the reviews I have seen of these books they are a hit. Just goes to show what pleases others most of the time doesn't please me!

I am givng Up in Smoke 3 stars, and it falls into these reading challenges...

I say if you don't like it after a few tries, you're doing the right thing to stop trying. There are too many books out there to waste your time on this one.

It does help ALOT to have read the first 4 books. I love the series but REALLY love books 1 to 4 alot more than the silver dragon series. Aisling Grey and Drake the leader of the green dragons have a great story to tell.
Now if you love dragons try Deborah Cooke's Dragon series...
