Up in Smoke: Review

by Katie MacAlister

Synopsis:
Though May Northcott's heart belongs to Gabriel, leader of the silver dragons, being stuck in Abaddon has significantly cooled down her love life. Especially since a demon lord is trying to woo her. Looks like May will have to barter to gain her freedom and fulfill her destiny by Gabriel's side...

Okay, this will officially be my last attempt at this series. Maybe I am not jiving with these characters because I didn't read the other series first. For the life of me I can't seem to connect to May or even Gabriel for that matter. I just don't get what I am missing because of the reviews I have seen of these books they are a hit. Just goes to show what pleases others most of the time doesn't please me!

I am givng Up in Smoke 3 stars, and it falls into these reading challenges...

Playing with Fire: Review

(A Novel of the Silver Dragons)
by Katie MacAlister

Synopsis:

Gabriel Tauhou, wyvern of the silver dragons, has found the one woman who can withstand his fire. Too bad May Northcott is already bound to a demon lord. But when the demon orders May to steal one of Gabriel's treasures—an immensely important relic of all dragonkin— Gabriel has to decide which to protect: his love or his dragons.

My Review:

I found myself rather lost at the start of this book because I was new to Katie MacAlister and the fact that she uses the same characters in other series in her new series ( does that make sense?). I was very confused from the first chapter and needless to say it never got better, I was lost! I was determine to see it through since I already had it from the library, but if you pick this book up without reading other's from this author, put it down immediately, don't torture yourself! HA HA HA!
Other than that small glinch ( okay, kinda big glinch). I enjoyed the book.

I am giving Playing with Fire 3 stars, and if falls into these reading challenges...
Until next time...
