Surveys = Love: Bookshelf Edition

Smash ( love that this is her nickname) over at Great Books and Fresh Coffee tagged me with this mimi, my first for this blog. I am no longer a crazy book slut who happens to be a virgin when it comes to mimi's.... that's me, just a plain ol' crazy book slut!

The book that’s been on your shelves the longest: For the most part I am a let a book go to others and see how many people that book can touch in some way. I don't keep many books in my house after I read them, because 1) I just don't have the room and 2) I am a Library junkie!

The one book I will keep forever is my answer to the next question
A book that reminds you of something specific in your life (a person, a place, a time, etc.): The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks- This book plays a bring role in my relationship with my hubby. When we were dating back in 1999 he read this book to me, add in the fact that he was a big bad Marine, and how could I not have fallen in love with him. The OG copy has a home to this day in my night stand!

A book you acquired in some interesting way (gift, serendipity in a used bookstore, prize, etc.):
Forever by Judy Blume- All you ladies out there no what book I am talking about. This book is like a right of passage, lol! That book got passed around my 7th grade year ( now that I think about it, that was major for this grade), it was so worn from being passed around from girl to girl, but some how I was the one it remained with.

A book that’s been with you to the most places: Bedtime for Baby Bop... don't be jealous!! HA HA HA! Baby M loves this book

The most recent addition to your shelves: Well, that will have to be this bad ass gift collection of books I just won over at MomDot.... do I really need to introduce you to these books..... Harry Potter Complete Box Series (1-7) plus The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Can you believe this year I am going to read these books for the first time. Oh the horror, please be nice to me!

A bonus book that you want to talk about but doesn’t fit into the other questions:
Good Night Bush.... please tell me you all have read this book or at least have seen it?? Regardless of who you voted for, or where you stand in politic's, it is a funny book!!

And now, to bestow the wonderful meme onto others...
I choose:

Jaime - from The Laughing Book Nook
Colleen ( A.K.A. COOL) - from Reality Mom
Yvonne at Socrates' Book Reviews

Thanks Smash that was a lot of fun, and a little tough!!

Until next time...
Happy Reading

If you make's you feel any better, I've yet to read the Harry Potter books either. I have them all and they are on my list to read this year but I'm very behind in the times...lol
