Undead and Unempoyed is the second book in the Queen Betsy series by Mary Janice Davidson.
I finished this book a few days ago, but with the holidays I have been super busy.
" Nothing can make Betsy Taylor give up her shoe fetish- even dying and rising as the new Queen of the Vampires. Being royally undead isn't all it's cracked up to be- there are still bills to be paid. And Betsy is determined to live as normally as possible, even if it means getting a job. I am finding this series to be very entertaining and light, not to mention fast reads! I love that Mary Janice Davidson as made the super natural world collide with the fashion world, it is classic!! If I were ever to become Queen of the Vampires, I would take notes from Queen Betsy, after all I would want to step by best foot forward! HA HA HA!
I give this book a 4 stars on my rating system, I am almost done with the third in the series so stay tuned, and let's not forget 2009 is just around the corner so all of my challenges will start.... wit woo!

I think I'll look into this series. The way you put it it might be worth a try. And the praragraphs you quoted are really funny.
I have got to start this series.. I am intimidated to start a new series, because I become obsessed and have to read them all at once!
