Samson's Lovely Mortal (Review)

Samson's Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires, #1)
Samson's Lovely Mortal
(A Scanguards Vampires Novel)
by Tina Folsom

Vampire bachelor Samson can't get it up anymore. Not even his shrink can help him. That changes when the lovely mortal auditor Delilah tumbles into his arms after a seemingly random attack. Suddenly there's nothing wrong with his hydraulics - that is, as long as Delilah is the woman in his arms.

His scruples about taking Delilah to bed vanish when his shrink suggests it's the only way to cure his problem. Thinking all he needs is one night with her, Samson indulges in a night of pleasure and passion.

However, another attack on Delilah and a dead body later, and Samson has his hands full: not only with trying to hide the fact he's a vampire, but also with finding out what secrets Delilah harbors for somebody to want her harm.

Review:  Samson’s Lovely Mortal was quite the lovely surprise.  This is the first book from Tina Folsom that I have read and I will definitely be reading more.  The book is currently available free to download from Amazon.  I took advantage of the free book not expecting too much but I was very surprised.  I truly enjoyed the book and loved the cast of characters.
Samson is vampire with a problem…he can’t get an erection until Delilah literally stumbles into his arms.  He feels an instant connection but because of past heart ache he is afraid to trust what he is feeling.  But with people out to kill Delilah his natural instinct to protect kicks in.  The more time he spends with Delilah the more he realizes what he feels for her is something special and he will do anything to keep her.
Delilah is literally running for her life when she runs into Samson’s home and his arms.  She is in town on business and doesn’t know anyone and is forced to trust Samson to keep her safe while they figure out who is trying to kill her.  She quickly falls into Samson’s bed and enjoys passion like never before but once she learns his secrets will she be able to trust Samson and his love.
This was a great start to a new series for me and I can’t wait to read more.  I loved the humor, the friendships, the romance and there was even a little mystery thrown in.  She does a great job of introducing you to the characters and wanting to read more for their stories.  I highly recommend this book for those who love paranormal romance, light erotica or just those looking for a great read.
