Cathing Fire by Suzanne Collins {Review}}

Catching Fire
{ Hunger Games Series #2}
by Suzanne Collins

Kindle Edition, 396 pages
Published May 28th 2010 by Scholastic Press (first published September 1st 2009)

Suzanne Collins continues the amazing story of Katniss Everdeen in the phenomenal Hunger Games trilogy.Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

I clasp the flask between my hands even though the warmth from the tea has long since leached into the frozen air.

My Review:

I have enjoyed this series thus far but I do NOT love this series like the million plus other people out there. Please don't stone me or send hate mail.

I'm not sure if I'm having a hard time getting past the kids killing kids concept. My mommy strings are being pulled big time by these story lines.

With that said I do think the characters, storyline, and details are solid and well written.

I look forward to seeing this series through... reading MockingJay now!

My Rating: Photobucket

Until next time...Happy Reading!

So far I have enjoyed the books and the movie. Still, the complete lack of compassion and guilt at killing other human beings leaves me not loving it. That won't stop me from reading the rest though.
