Ride the Fire by Pamela Clare { Review}

Ride the Fire

(Blakewell/Kenleigh Family Trilogy #3)

by Pamela Clare

Mass Market Paperback, 356 pages
Published January 1st 2008 by Leisure (first published March 2005)

There was only one rule on the frontier--survival. So when a wounded, buckskin-clad stranger appeared at the door of her isolated cabin, Elspeth Stewart felt no qualms about disarming him and then tying him to her bed. Newly widowed and expecting her first child, she had to protect herself at all costs. And Nicholoas Kenleigh threatened not only her safety, but her peace of mind. The terrible scars on his body spoke of a tortured past, but his gentle hands and burning gaze awoke longings she had never expected to feel. Bethie had good reason to distrust men, but little by little she found herself believing in Nicholas, in his honor, his strength. As he brought her baby into the world, then took both mother and daughter into his care, she realized this was the man who would teach her to...Ride the Fire.

First Line(s): "They're going ot burn us, aren't they?"

Favorite Line(s): “Men who hurt Women are my favorite men to kill. Touch her and I'll send you straight to hell - with a smile on my face!”

My Review: First and foremost let me just say this.. I am kicking myself in the butt that this book sat on my bookshelf all this time ( years) waiting for me to read it! I am pathetic and I could have known this love I have for Nicholas years ago! I'm a fooool!

Nicholas Kenleigh is in all sense of the phrase a broken man. He has dark demons that most would surrender to and just die... but not him.

Elspeth (Bethie) life has been no walk in the park either. The two of them have every right to but their walls up and to build them high!

We get to see these walls be built, rearranged, broken and destroyed in 356 amazing pages! Can one overcome the scars of their past?

There really are no words to describe this book, every feeling one can have you feel. Hatred... check! Pain...check! Joy... check! And everything in between!

Please do yourself a favor, don't be stupid like me and wait on reading this book... it's amazing!

My Rating:Photobucket

I feel I need to put this out there... this book has some scenes in it that are not for the faint at heart!

Until next time...Happy Reading!
