Blood Drunk: Faded Blue by Angela Lovell {Review}

Blood Drunk - Faded Blue

Paperback, 332 pages
Published October 11th 2011 by CreateSpace

With summer waning quickly before the start of his senior year, a family emergency forces Blue Knightly to leave his small Midwest town and travel to New York City to locate his rebellious sister. From the morgue to Central Park to the underbelly of New York, he quickly discovers the big city is the least of his concerns as he reluctantly takes sides within a warring faction of vampires to unravel the mystery of his sister’s disappearance. In their underground world of abandoned subway tunnels, Blue finds himself falling for a femme fatale vampire whose vibe is seldom clear. Not knowing who to trust, Blue finds himself battling not only the undead, but his own heart, as the family crisis escalates and every decision could be his last.

First Line(s): Her heel breaks and she falls down the concrete stairs, hot pink pumps fly overhead, reaching the bottom before she does.

My Review: Let it be known I like the Twilight series! Do I think they are stellar books that will go down in history, no! Well at least about the stellar part because we all know they will go down in history.

When you read the back of this book that is what comes to mind, been there done this story line ( to a degree) but this book is soo much more!

Although this book falls into the Young Adult category I think it has something for everyone. I admit it took me a bit to get into this story but I am so grateful I kept trucking because the suspense is well worth the wait.

I believe this book ( and those to follow) have a lot of potential and I for one can't wait to read the next book in the series. Angela Lovell weaved some great story lines with strong characters!

Three words I would use to describe this book...

1. Edgy
2. Solid
3. Intriguing

My Rating:Photobucket

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!

Until next time...Happy Reading!
