The Immortal Highlander

The Immortal Highlander
(Highlander Series #6)
by Karen Marie Moning

With his long, black hair and dark, mesmerizing eyes, Adam Black is Trouble with a capital T. Immortal, arrogant, and intensely sensual, he is free to roan across time and continents in pursuit of his insatiable desires. That is, until a curse strips him of his immortality and makes him invisible, a cruel fate for so irresistible a man. Now Adam's only hope for survival is in the hands of the one woman who can actually see him.

Enter law student Gabrielle O'Callaghan. For Gabrielle, cursed with the ability to see both worlds, Mortal and Faery, it is the beginning of a long, dangerous seduction. But as Adam's quest to regain his immortality plunges them into a world of timeless magic, the price of surrender could be their very lives. Unless they can thwart the conspiracy the threaten both mortal and Faery realms... and give them a shot at a destiny few mortals ever know: glorious, wondrous, endless love...

Favorite Line(s): " Love means ye'd die for that person a thousand times o'er" she'd finally said gazing down at the newborn. " Ye'd give the verra last drop of all ye had to give to tarry at their side but one moment more, to behold them alive and hale and happy."

" Damed Irish. One could never predict the tempers of those fiery, moody Gaels. Obdurate as stones, they passed through the centuries untouched by evolution, as hotheaded and barbaric today as they'd been in the Iron Age". (wit woo!!)

My review:
This is not the first book in the series that mentions Adam Black. In fact he played a role in a few of the books in this series, so it was nice to see a book where he played the main character. And let me tell you... Adam belongs in a story as the leading man! Adam meets his match in the fiesty Irish lad Gabby, who has wit oozing from her. Together they make a steaming couple. This book was a great addition to this series.
