Beyond the Highland Mist: Review

Beyond the Highland Mist
by Karen Marie Moning

He would sell his warrior soul to possess her. . . . An alluring laird...

He was known throughout the kingdom as Hawk, legendary predator of the battlefield and the boudoir. No woman could refuse his touch, but no woman ever stirred his heart--until a vengeful fairy tumbled Adrienne de Simone out of modern-day Seattle and into medieval Scotland. Captive in a century not her own, entirely too bold, too outspoken, she was an irresistible challenge to the sixteenth-century rogue. Coerced into a marriage with Hawk, Adrienne vowed to keep him at arm's length--but his sweet seduction played havoc with her resolve.

A prisoner in time...

She had a perfect "no" on her perfect lips for the notorious laird, but Hawk swore she would whisper his name with desire, begging for the passion he longed to ignite within her. Not even the barriers of time and space would keep him from winning her love. Despite her uncertainty about following the promptings of her own passionate heart, Adrienne's reservations were no match for Hawk's determination to keep her by his side. . . .

If you love romance books... get this book! If you love books about hot highlanders... get this book! If you love paranormal romances... get this book! my point is get this book. Buy it, check it out from the library, borrow it from a friend, just get it.

Adrienne de Simone has sass, but you also feel for her and what she has gone through in her life. "Hawk" makes you long to take the pain from him. Together, well.... HOTT!

I am giving Beyond the Highland Mist 5 stars!!!

I think I am on a romance kick... bare with me friends!

Highlander in Her Bed

by Allie Mackay

Synopsis:

Tour guide Mara MacDougall stops at a London antique shop-and spots perhaps the handsomest bed ever. Then she bumps into the handsomest man ever. Soon Mara can't forget the irresistible-if haughty-Highlander. Not even when she learns that she's inherited a Scottish castle.

Spectral Sir Alexander Douglas has hated the Clan MacDougall since he was a medieval knight and they tricked him into a curse-the curse of forever haunting the bed (the very one that Mara now owns) that was once intended for his would-be bride. But Mara makes him feel what no other MacDougall has-a passion that he never knew he'd missed.

This was a fun read, light and romantic as well. It was very mild in the steamy category and I felt it had some holes that needed to be filled. I finished this book, but I wasn't left wanting more or mourning the end of it. Good book, just don't expect the wow factor when reading it.

Thirty Nights with a Highland Husband: Review

(The Daughters of the Glen, Book 1)

Synopsis

SCOTLAND, 1272. Connor MacKiernan, a descendant of the Fae Prince, is a warrior who lives only for honor and duty. Though he's vowed never to marry, that's exactly what he must do to save his sister. Enter a little Faerie magic, and the search for a bride is on.

DENVER, 2007. Caitlyn Coryell is having a really bad day — she just discovered her fiancĂ© with another woman! Imagine her surprise when she puts on some sexy lingerie and an antique pendant and Connor appears in her bedroom, begging for her help. He offers a simple yet outrageous adventure: travel to his time, marry him, and return home.

But nothing's simple when Cate is trapped in the thirteenth century. The wedding's delayed, someone's trying to kill her, and in the middle of all this, she realizes she's falling in love with a man who can only be her husband for thirty nights.

Where do I sign up for a Highland Husband, wowzer! I loved this book! It was one of those books where I sat there and mourned the end of this book. The characters were so believable and to top it off the book was not predictable at all! A real package deal!
