16-year-old Miranda Merchant is great at science...and not so great with boys. After major drama with her boyfriend and (now ex) best friend, she's happy to spend the summer on small, mysterious Selkie Island, helping her mother sort out her late grandmother's estate.

There, Miranda finds new friends and an island with a mysterious, mystical history, presenting her with facts her logical, scientific mind can't make sense of. She also meets Leo, who challenges everything she thought she knew about boys, friendship...and reality.

Is Leo hiding something? Or is he something that she never could have imagined?

My favorite line out of this book is... " Maybe people didn't just inherit looks and talents and the propensity for illness, but they also inherited desires".

I thought Sea Change was a sweet and endearing tale of first love that stays with you till the end. The way Aimee Friedman wrote this book it makes me wonder if we will be seeing Miranda and Leo again in another novel?!?!

This is a much darker story than the first two books in the series. I thought I had the story line pegged when it came to Dark Reunion, and was mad because I thought it was just too predictable... wrong! I was wrong, and I don't say that often, lol!

Makes me wonder what I would do if I was in any of these characters shoes, I suppose you just find the strength when evil is breathing down your neck, no pun intended... well maybe a little!

It is going to be awhile before I pick up the other book in this series, because I am sure there is going to be a long wait at the library, heading to put it on my list now.

Kate Brian stayed on course! I always get a tad nervous when it comes to prequels because there is always the risk that the story lines just don't match up. Kate Brian stayed true to the series and I enjoyed having a more in dept look at one of the other girls in the series.

I can't wait till it is my turn at the library to get the next book in this series. I just love that they are fast reads, and well... it makes me feel young!

Man some girls have all the luck! HA HA HA! I was pleasantly surprised that there was/are a lot of differances between the book and the CW show. Both are fantastic! Said it once before I have a young girl stuck in my not so young body... teeny bopper at heart! For all of you who think you have problems with your siblings, you haven't seen nothing! I love that it has two stories in one book.

For those who watch the show or have read the books, I want to know if you are Team Stefan or Team Damon?

Reed shows some balls in this book and a lot of determination ( which every young girl need to have in life). I think this book might be my favorite out of the series!! Normally I can figure things out before the story reveals things, and I wasn't even close on this one... good story!!

There, I humored you all, I gave the synopsis this time. New Moon is the second book in the Twilight series ( for those who are not in the no). Since I am not going to review this book because the fact that I have already read it once should prove that I love this series, I thought I would tell you what these books do to me. They are long books... like 500+ pages ( closer to the 600 range than the 500 range), but I read each book in 24 hours. I can't put them down, and when I do finally let myself go to bed at night, the story continues in my dreams, it haunts me ( in a good way). Even if I put the book down a hour or two before I go to bed, it will keep me awake, so why bother, I read up until my eyes will no longer stay open.

I am not sure if other's have the same thing happen when they read this book, but I am hooked. I will have my popcorn and diet coke in hand and I will be there on Nov 20th with my girlfriends, and I might even throw dirty looks at the young teeny boppers! HA HA HA

Shocker I am giving New Moon 5 stars and it falls into these challenges...

Oh please you can't really be expecting me to review this book, everyone and their mother knows about this book. I am pretty sure there is only a few people who have not read this book, but trust they have heard about it.

In fact I just read this book for the second time, and I read it just as fast this go around as I did the first time. 24 hours to read 563 pages.

Okay, so I will humor people and rate the book... surprise suprise I am giving Twilight 5 stars! I will add it to my reading challenges though....

I mean I got busted for doing many of stupid things, in fact I could even name so names of the gals who are most likely reading this now, but I won't. Let's just say thes girls don't know when to back off and lay low, something I would like to think I had down pack, or not if you ask the mama!! HA HA HA

I am such a teeny bopper at heart, look at me being the age I am ( ssh, none of your businessm ha ha ha) and totally loving these books. These books are perfect if you want a quick and easy read. Just to prove how fast of a read this can be. I finished one book yesterday afternoon, went to bed after the monkey's were asleep and finished this one. There is some serious drama in this book, meow!

But Thomas turned out to be different from what she thought...and then he turned up dead. And if that wasn't twisted enough, Reed's new boyfriend, Josh Hollis, was arrested for Thomas's murder.

Now everyone is back to worrying about the regular stuff, like how to sneak to the boys' dorms at night, whether two-ply cashmere is warm enough for fall, and whether to fly to London or Barcelona for Thanksgiving break.

Everyone except for Reed.

Reed is convinced that Josh is innocent, which means the killer is still out there. Now it's up to Reed to uncover the truth. But the deeper she digs, the more secrets she unearths and the closer she gets to the confession that will change everything...if she's alive to hear it.

Insert Tammy Wynette's, Stand by Your Man song... ha ha ha! I could not help myself.

Confessions is my favorite in the series thus far, so much that I am going to give it 5 stars, count them... 5 stars!!!

3 books into this series and I am convinced that my high school was super boring! I feel sorry for my fellow students and I that we didn't get nearly has much drama as Reed .

HA HA HA!

I am enjoying this series and I just picked up the rest of the books so I can read the rest straight through. With loosing the baby a few days ago, these books help keep my mind off of anything too deep.

Zombie Queen of Newbury High was a fast, clever and witty story! The characters had sass, and Almanda Ashby nailed the attitudes of teenager's to a tee! This is my first book I have read with zombies, and it was just enough, glad it wasn't over the top in gore or anything! A great read!

Why is love so complicated?

" Is falling for a ghost crazy? maybe. But James is so real, Melissa almost forgets he's not human. She falls for him so hard that soon everything else slips away... including the possibility that James might be in love with Chloe.

What a tangle web we weave when it comes to teenage love! Or any love for that matter!

Melissa seems like an endearing girl and I found myself relating to her in some aspects of her life, but the story line for me was way to rushed. I didn't feel like there was enough time to connect with the main characters in this story, or give the concept of the story line a chance to shine. For me it was just to rushed, and not in the terms of it just being a fast read. The story line was there, but it was missing so much for me.

Man I don't remember girls being this mean when I was in high school, of course I went to a public high school that was not for the rich, lol! Than again maybe it did happen and I just didn't realize it because I am anti- drama and can tune it out for the most part.

When I am reading this book now that I am older I feel sorry for these kids who seem to have it all, what is with the rush to grow up and be something your not, trust me being an adult is not all it is cracked up to be, of course you don't learn this lesson until it is too late. I also try to pin the characters in this book with people I may have gone to school with, ha ha ha, I bet your real nervous now if your reading this and I went to school with you. Just my way of getting the look of the character into my head.

Poor Reed, she gets herself into hot water, all because she feels she needs to fit in with the Billings Girls, question is, will it all be worth it in the end??
